Hairdresser Long-Term Care & Retirement Living Nithview Community, Tri-County Mennonite Homes New Hamburg, ON
Are you a compassionate and talented hairdresser looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of seniors? We are seeking a Hairdresser to provide professional hair care services to residents within our Long-Term Care and Retirement Living community. Position Summary The Hairdresser is responsible for providing a variety of hair care services in a friendly, respectful, and professional manner while creating a positive and enjoyable experience for residents. Schedule 2 days per week Regular hours of 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be available as needed to support resident demand Responsibilities Provide hair cutting, styling, shampooing, and other salon services to residents Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming salon environment Schedule and manage resident appointments Build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members Follow infection prevention and control practices and workplace safety standards Maintain professional salon equipment and supplies Qualifications Current Hairstylist license/certification in good standing Previous hairstyling experience required Experience working with seniors is considered an asset Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and manage appointments effectively Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to resident care About Tri-County Mennonite Homes WHAT WE OFFER: Full-time, part-time and casual opportunities Pension plan Health and dental benefits Short-term disability Life insurance Paid orientation Training opportunities and career development Employee appreciation lunches and events Employee Assistance Program An employee Social Committee Tuition support programs Employee pricing on meals from our kitchen A positive and supportive working environment New employees will be required to complete a vulnerable sector check and TB test as part of the onboarding process.
