Note: Language class offering is based on sufficient enrollment
Description:

Create conversational language activities to develop fluency in the language of instruction

Create lessons to reinforce language development planning lessons that meet the individual needs, interest, and abilities of the students

Create long range plans for the program

Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students

Employ a variety of instructional techniques that will maintain student interest and engagement. Adherence to all procedures in the ILEP Staff Handbook.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of and competency in speaking, listening, writing, and reading in the language of instruction
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
- Post-secondary courses in the targeted language are considered an asset
- Ontario Teaching Certificate is an asset
Location: Various HWCDSB elementary schools
Hours: 2½ hours per day
Pay**:** $17.60 - $24.64 per hour plus vacation pay which depends on:
- Class size
- If OCT certified
- Number of instructional sessions in the IILEP plus methodology certificate
