Your Opportunity:

Reporting to the manager, the position will be a resource and leader for the Neuromodulation Department (ECT, RTMS, Ketamine). The incumbent will be responsible for clinical coordination of the team, providing patient and family centered care and ensuring the team operates efficiently. They will engage in staff development activities, foster an atmosphere conducive for learning and growth. They will liaise and collaborate with both internal and external partnering services including but not limited to psychiatrists, respiratory therapist, anesthesiologists, students and residents. The Nurse clinician will ensure appropriate appointments are booked for all patients and follows up or delegates the follow up with patients to other staff. They will also support staff in the with ECT procedure and recovery, rTMS and Ketamine.

Description:

As a Nurse Clinician (NC), you will be responsible for the coordination of an interprofessional team, in the provision of quality patient (client, resident) care in order to meet the operational priorities and requirements within a clinical setting. You will use an integrative leadership approach in assisting, planning, implementing and evaluating care needs, while assuming responsibility for staff assignments, patient flow and clinical resources. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of Recovery Alberta.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

minimum 3-5 years of experience with Neuromodulation (ECT,RTMS) and 5 years experience in acute mental health. NVCI, current BLS, IV certified, Mental status Exam, Suicide Risk Assessment, extensive understanding of Adult Guardianship and the Alberta Mental Health Act.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree preferred.
