About the role

Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of Part-Time (15-24 hours) Food Services Cook/Clerk (2 positions) at our TJ’s/ Chester-Fried Chicken in our C-Store/Gas Bar location in Spiritwood, Saskatchewan .

Reporting to the TJ’s/ Chester’s Team Leader, responsibilities for this position include the following:

  • Demonstrate the day-to-day behaviors and actions that align with and strengthen Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer-focused approach.
  • Provide Legendary Service at all touch points through various communication channels.
  • Demonstrate a complete understanding of menu items and explain accurately to guests.
  • Prepare food neatly and according to standard recipes, package takeout orders, and ensure timely service.
  • Follow proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards throughout food preparation, service, and cleanup.
  • Check and monitor product in food preparation area and restock items to ensure a sufficient supply throughout shift.
  • Use the Point of Sale (POS) system to enter orders, calculate bills, and provide change.
  • Operate manual and electric appliances, as well as other food preparation tools and equipment.
  • Support and follow Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform light paperwork duties, as assigned.
  • Perform all other duties, as assigned.

Who You Are:
You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and Customer Service:

  • You are honest, trustworthy, results-oriented, and strive to be the best in the work that you do.
  • You are well organized and capable of attaining a high level of production, with a minimum amount of supervision.
  • You have experience with food preparation and food safety, or you are willing to learn.
  • You have the ability to fulfill the physical job requirement including standing for entire shirt and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • You have the ability to work in a fast paced, guest-facing environment.
  • You have a flexible work schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
