Administrative School Secretary
(Regular Part Time Support Position)
St. Mary Catholic School is a Kindergarten to Grade 12 School
in Westlock, AB is currently seeking a Regular Part Time (0.6 FTE) Administrative School Secretary to provide standardized and complex secretarial and financial support for the school office. We are seeking an individual with strong organizational and interpersonal skills with experience working in a busy environment. PowerSchool Software experience would be an asset.
The assignment is to begin September 8, 2026 of the 2026-2027 school year, and candidate will serve a probationary period established by the employer.
Salary range: $23.56/hour - $29.97/hour as per the Support Terms and Conditions of Employment.
Preference Given To Candidates With The Following Qualifications
Relevant formal training/experience, e.g., secretarial, business administration, accounting. A strong desire to work collaboratively to contribute to a smooth functioning office environment. Basic accounting knowledge Working knowledge of student record systems (Power School) Exceptional public relation skills Extensive word processing skills using basic work processing programs. Routine record keeping skills, e.g., student records, attendance. Able to provide office/program support - mail, filing, unpacking, forms, registration, photocopying. Skills to provide a variety of services directly involving students, e.g., first aid, dispensing medications, home/student communications. Skills to support routine activities as assigned by the immediate supervisor, e.g., mail sorting, school registrations, maintaining office supplies. The ability to perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor that are consistent with training and experience.
