About the role

Nurse Clinical Lead (Future Client Services Manager)

Senior Helpers Okanagan - Kelowna, BC Part-time (16-24 hours/week) | Leadership Track | Community-Focused Role

About Us Senior Helpers Okanagan provides relationship‑driven, personalized in‑home care across the Okanagan Valley. Our mission is simple: to build and foster meaningful relationships: with clients, families, caregivers, and community partners. As our organization continues to grow, we are expanding our leadership team with a nurse who is passionate about quality care, operational excellence, and community engagement.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our leadership team on a part-time basis (16-24 hours/week). A Registered Nurse (RN) is also welcome to apply.

This role begins as our Nurse Clinical Lead, with a clear pathway to transition into Client Services Manager as our organization continues to scale. You will lead our Qmentum accreditation efforts, strengthen internal systems, support our Client Services team, and ensure high-quality care for our clients.

This is a unique opportunity for a nurse who enjoys leadership, quality improvement, and community engagement - not just bedside care.

Key Responsibilities

Accreditation & Quality Assurance

Lead our Qmentum Accreditation preparation and ongoing compliance. Develop, update, and audit policies, procedures, and clinical protocols. Conduct regular care plan audits, documentation reviews, and quality checks. Implement continuous improvement initiatives across client services and field operations.

Operational Systems & Process Optimization

Build and refine workflows for our Client Services team to ensure consistency, efficiency, and reliability. Create clear, repeatable processes for scheduling, communication, care planning, and caregiver support. Collaborate with leadership to design scalable systems as the business grows.

Leadership & Team Development

Provide clinical guidance to Client Services team and caregivers. Support onboarding, training, and competency assessments. Coach the Client Services team to ensure alignment with our mission, tone, and care expectations. Participate in performance reviews and staff development planning.

Client Care & Clinical Support

Conduct nursing assessments and create individualized care plans. Provide delegated or direct nursing care as needed (e.g., catheter care, wound care, medication management). Support complex cases and collaborate with families, physicians, and community partners.

Community Engagement & Brand Presence

Represent Senior Helpers at community events, health fairs, and professional networking opportunities. Support marketing and outreach initiatives through presentations, education sessions, and relationship-building. Help elevate brand awareness and trust within the Okanagan community.

Qualifications

Good standing with BCCNM Experience in policy development, quality assurance, or accreditation (Qmentum experience is an asset). Background in home care, community health, long-term care, or gerontology. Leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Comfort with community engagement, presentations, and representing the organization publicly. Ability to balance clinical judgment with operational decision-making. A passion for supporting seniors and empowering caregivers.

Compensation & Benefits

Range: $34 - $40 per hour. Final rate based on experience, scope, and leadership capability. Eligibility to join our group health benefits plan (details provided during hiring). Professional development support for accreditation, leadership training, and continuing education.

What We Offer

A leadership-track role with clear growth into Client Services Manager. A collaborative, supportive team culture grounded in relationships and compassion. Opportunities to shape systems, influence organizational direction, and build something meaningful. Competitive compensation and professional development support. A chance to make a real impact on seniors and families across the Okanagan.
