About the Position We are currently looking for an independent contractor who is detail-oriented to join our Fall Mum Program as a Floral Merchandiser. This is a seasonal opportunity supporting the merchandising and care of fall mum displays at assigned retail locations. Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and organized Floral Merchandiser to maintain and care for seasonal fall mum displays across assigned retail locations. In this role, you will ensure displays remain attractive, healthy, well-stocked, and properly priced throughout the program. Previous plant knowledge is an asset but is not required. Targeted Start Date: One onboarding/service visit on August 13–14, with the first full week of service beginning the week of August 17 (subject to change based on product staging). Program Duration: Seasonal assignment running until stores sell out, for a maximum of 8 weeks. The week prior to Thanksgiving will be the final week of service if product remains. Hours: 9-18 per week Service Schedule: 3 visits per week 1–2 hours per visit Visits must be scheduled with at least 1 day between visits and no more than 2 days between visits to maintain product quality. Locations: St. Catharines Vehicle Required Starting Rate: $20/hour Key Responsibilities Visit assigned stores 3 times per week according to the required service schedule. Organize, merchandise, and refresh fall mum displays to ensure an attractive shopping experience. Water and care for plants according to their needs to maintain healthy, vibrant product. Remove damaged or unsellable product as required and keep display areas clean and organized. Ensure all products are correctly priced and labels are clearly visible. Submit detailed call reports after each visit, documenting display condition, inventory, and completed tasks. Follow merchandising standards and communicate any concerns regarding inventory or product quality. Qualifications Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Previous plant or garden center experience is an asset but not required. Ability to lift and move floral products and display materials. Strong communication and time management skills.
