About the role

Department of Human Kinetics, Faculty of Science Part-Time Skills Instructor (HKIN 132:   Basketball)

The Department of Human Kinetics invites applications for a part-time Skills Instructor to teach HKIN 132 (Basketball) during the winter term (3 hours per week) of the 2026-2027 academic year (2.25 credits). The ideal candidate should possess a Physical Education Degree or equivalent Degree in related field, demonstrate a record of effective oral and written communication skills and have previous experience teaching basketball. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.

About the Department 

Human Kinetics students pursue a four-year integrated program that focuses on human body movement from a variety of perspectives (athletic therapy, biomechanics, disability, exercise physiology, gender, growth, health, history, motor control, philosophy, physical education, sociology, psychology). Students are well-prepared after graduation to enter the workforce, apply to professional programs (e.g. physiotherapy or occupational therapy) or medical school, or pursue graduate studies.
