About the role
Position Summary
Northern Health is looking for an experienced, highly efficient, and self-directed Health Unit Aide to support the Home and Community Care department.
In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, Community Rehabilitation and Health Services for Community Living Programs. Specific duties are ordering and maintaining medical supplies and equipment and setting up equipment and furnishings, photocopying, faxing, and collating printed materials as required.
Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday-Wednesday, Days - 08:30 to 17:00
Qualifications

Minimum grade 12 or equivalent.

Valid BC Driver’s class 5 license.
Skills and Abilities:

Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Ability to prioritize and organize work.

Ability to operate computers, basic word processing and e-mail.

Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.

Ability to do the physical tasks of the job.

Ability to work with staff and the public.
