Part Time Security Guard - Office Tower
Site Description:
Office Tower is a professional office environment supporting operations and administrative services. The site requires front-facing professionalism, controlled access management, and routine patrols of common areas. Officers must maintain a secure and respectful atmosphere in alignment with site standards

Site: Summit Properties
Status: Part Time
Hours: Saturday (07:00 - 19:00 hrs), Sunday (08:00 - 20:00 hrs)
Pay Rate: $21/hr

Essential Job Functions:
- Conducting frequent patrols to have an increased presence and act as a deterrent for unauthorized individuals
- To support tenants, customers and building staff on site and to ensure that the area was a safe and comfortable place for all patrons and tenants
- Watch for and report irregularities by completing investigations and incident reports, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards and emergency situations; contact emergency responders, such as police, fire and/or ambulance personnel, as required
- Sustain effective relationships with key stakeholders and provide specialized security services by enforcing rules and regulations when required
- Offer support to any person in need such as providing good customer service when providing a security presence, such as providing direction, responding to an emergency situation involving violent individuals and injuries
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (WSIB-approved vendor)
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- Proficient in English, both oral and written
- Working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act
- Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, tact and diplomacy
- Authorized to legally work in Canada
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred
- Able to maintain a professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances and people under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations
