Reporting to the Winnipeg Assistant Director of Children’s disABILITY Services the Resource Assistant will support a variety of staff in the Children's disABILITY Services program.

Duties:

Reporting to the Assistant Director, the Resource Assistant, as a member of the service team provides support services to the Community Service Worker (CSW), the finance team, Program Manager, and/or the Assistant Director, in the performance of their responsibilities. The Resource Assistant provides a variety of support services directly and indirectly to children, adults and their families within the mandate of any or all community programs.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Experience performing clerical and administrative duties.
  • Effective verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills including the ability to handle a large volume of work.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively work with a diverse range of individuals and service providers.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) or similar software applications.
  • Ability to maintain client confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Ability to problem solve.

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

  • Must be able to provide and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search

  • Must be able to provide and maintain a satisfactory Adult and Child Abuse Registry Checks
