A PART TIME TEACHER
For Rocky Christian School in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta
Applications are invited for a Probationary Part Time Elementary Teacher (approximately
0.5 FTE) for grades 4, 5 or 6. The work schedule will be Monday to Friday mornings.
Rocky Christian School is an alternative program in Wild Rose School Division, devoted to providing a distinctly Christ-centred education. Preferred candidates will have training appropriate to teaching in a wide variety of grades in a Christian School environment. Preference will be given to the candidate who possesses strong Bible knowledge, is enthusiastic and is a lifelong learner. Familiarity with and/or willingness to participate in the Prairie Centre for Christian Education, “Teaching for Transformation” program will be required.
Duties will commence on August 24, 2026.
A complete package will include a cover letter, resume, names and contact information for three professional references, a pastor's reference, a statement of Christian faith, and a statement of educational philosophy/beliefs in a single Google or pdf document.
Applicants will possess or be eligible for Alberta teaching certification. The successful applicant will be required to provide an original, satisfactory, and recent (within six months) Criminal Record check with the vulnerable sector as a condition of employment.
