The Role:

The Design Studio Assistant will be an integral member of the Design Studio Team, providing administrative support and assisting with the homeowner experience throughout the interior selection process. This part-time position (2–3 days per week) will support the Design Team with meeting preparation, documentation, studio organization, and purchaser communication.

The successful candidate will assist with colour selection appointments for inventory homes, provide support to Purchasers throughout the selection process, and ensure accurate documentation and follow-up to support successful home construction timelines.

Working collaboratively with the Design Studio Team, this role will contribute to maintaining an organized, welcoming, and efficient Design Studio environment while delivering exceptional customer service to Richcraft homeowners.

Responsibilities:

Assist Designers with preparation for purchaser meetings, including paperwork, documentation, and required materials.

Conduct colour selection appointments for inventory homes as required, assisting Purchasers with available selections and the selection process.

Provide Purchaser orientations and walkthroughs as requested.

Answer incoming calls and assist with general inquiries, directing questions to the appropriate team member when required.

Provide professional and timely responses to Purchaser questions regarding the Design Studio process, selections, and next steps.

Process Purchaser payments and maintain accurate records as required.

Prepare, organize, and maintain client paperwork packages.

Assist with filing, data entry, document organization, and administrative tasks.

Support the Designers with CAD sketches, updates, and design documentation as required.

Assist with maintaining and updating Design Studio resources, samples, displays, and selection materials.

Maintain the organization, cleanliness, and presentation of the Design Studio.

Assist the Design Team with additional projects and tasks as required.

Qualifications:

Post-secondary diploma, certification, or degree in Interior Design or Interior Decorating preferred.

Experience in customer service, administrative support, interior design, or interior decorating preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

Proficiency in AutoCAD preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred.

Familiarity with DocuSign is an asset.

Knowledge of residential construction and the building industry is an asset.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.

Professional and customer-focused approach when interacting with Purchasers.

Ability to travel to communities, job sites, and events when required.

Salary: $23- $24 hourly
