About The Role
We are seeking a compassionate and professional Physiotherapist to join our allied health team.
This is a part-time role, with a commitment of 1?4+ days/shifts per month. For those seeking additional hours, there is an opportunity to work across multiple retirement residences in our network. A regular monthly schedule will be established based on your availability, with flexibility around specific days and hours. As part of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide hands-on, evidence-based care directly into our partner retirement residences.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive MSK and neurological assessments for seniors and residence staff.
- Deliver manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training.
- Design and lead individual or small-group fall-prevention and mobility programs.
- Educate residents and caregivers on safe movement and home-exercise strategies.
- Chart detailed SOAP notes and outcome measures.
- Submit electronic insurance claims and collect any resident co-pays.
- Communicate progress and red-flags to Perennial physicians, nurse practitioners, and allied-health peers.
- Maintain a portable treatment kit and adhere to all IPAC standards.
Qualifications
- Registered Physiotherapist in good standing with your provincial college.
- Minimum two years? experience in orthopaedics, geriatrics, or community rehabilitation.
- Strong manual-therapy, exercise-prescription, and patient-education skills.
- Valid driver?s licence and reliable transportation; able to travel between sites.
- Assets: certification in fall-management, vestibular rehab, acupuncture/dry needling, or group-class leadership.
