Come locum at our clinic for two weeks or two months, or more from July to August 2026! Locum coverage of any time period - short-term, medium-term and long-term - is warmly welcome!

The Nelson Medical Clinic is a great clinic home to 11 GPs, 1 Skin Cancer specialist, two social workers, a physiotherapist, 3 nurse practitioners, a registered nurse, an occupational therapist, and an onsite lab and pharmacy. We are supported by an experienced group of qualified MOAs, front desk staff, a Billings Manager and Clinic Manager. Our fantastic team is committed to ensuring locums schedules are full and to making your stay in Nelson as enjoyable as possible!

Our superb downtown location, flexible arrangements, and collaborative work environment make Nelson Medical Clinic an excellent choice for your next trip to Nelson. We are committed to supporting quality, patient-focused care to the community in the West Kootenays. The overhead contribution is 70/30 for all in clinic billings. Out of Clinic billings (such as inpatient care) are billed at 97/3. Locum doctors get 100% of all rural retention payments.

Recently our team has switched to a weekly schedule of clinic wide inpatient coverage, meaning locums have no hospital coverage requirements during your time with us. However, if hospital coverage is desirable, don't hesitate to let us know as it can be included.

Nelson Medical Associates Clinic has been granted a fully accredited teaching facility for medical students and medical residents appointed by the UBC Faculty of Medicine.
