Melfort Group Home requires a part-time support worker to provide in home support for 5 adults with intellectual and physical disabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personal care to residents as required, including assistance with medication administration. You will also be responsible for housekeeping, attending some appointments with residents, social outings, some shopping and recreational activities. As well, we provide an alternate day program for residents living in the home during weekdays. Applicants must be willing to submit to a criminal record check and provide a drivers abstract. Must hold a valid class 5 license. Applicants must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively, have excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, decision making ability and be able to problem solve quickly and efficiently in a high pressure situation or medical emergency. If English is a second language, we may require proof that a minimum Level 8 in ESL has been achieved. Applicants must be able to work a wide variety of shifts; including nights, days, weekends, holidays, split shifts, and call-ins.
