The team delivers custom renovations, rebuilds of existing homes, and low-rise and single production homes, including high-end properties and full design-and-build solutions. Services extend to project management, contract administration, and site management for underground servicing, infrastructure, hydro, roads, and other civil works. The company collaborates closely with clients to bring tailored housing solutions to life and is continually seeking new and engaging projects. Role Description The Structural Design Engineer will support the design and review of residential structures for new builds, custom renovations, and rebuild projects in King City, ON. This part-time, on-site role involves performing structural analysis and calculations, preparing drawings and models using CAD tools, and coordinating with architects, contractors, and site managers to ensure structural integrity and compliance with relevant codes and standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing design feasibility, reviewing construction documents, providing technical guidance during project execution, and contributing to value engineering and quality control. The engineer will also assist in resolving structural issues identified during site inspections and collaborate with the project management team to support timelines and budgets. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Structural Analysis and Structural Engineering to design safe, efficient residential structures. Candidates should possess foundational Civil Engineering knowledge to understand site conditions, infrastructure requirements, and coordination with civil works. Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and AutoCAD to develop and revise structural drawings and details. Bachelor’s degree in Structural, Civil, or related Engineering discipline; eligibility for or registration with a professional engineering association is an asset. Experience with residential construction, building codes, and standards applicable in Ontario. Strong problem-solving, quantitative analysis, and attention to detail, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to multidisciplinary teams. Ability to work on-site, collaborate effectively with project managers and trades, and manage part-time schedules across multiple projects.
