As a Registered Nurse (RN) at Olds hospital and Care Centre, you will performing a broad scope of RN duties in accordance with Alberta health Services Policies and nursing care standards. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $40.76 to $55.79 per hour. Upon obtaining a full practice permit, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii), as applicable.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification. Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum one year experience, in the past two years, in Acute Care / Obstetrics / Emergency setting, working to full RN scope of practice. Ability to perform and document physical assessments, ability to administer medications within the acute care setting. Critical thinking skills, clinical judgement and problem solving. Ability to work as an effective team member, to accept and request direction as required. Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Basic computer skills and strong knowledge and experience using and Netcare, Connect care (EPIC).

Preferred Qualifications:

Completion of Central Zone Obstetrics Postpartum and Labour and Delivery education. Recent experience with obstetrical patients and / or newborn babies. FERN, CTAS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, CAM B. Lead II, Palliative care courses, Non Violent Crisis intervention,. Obs 101. Wound care education.
