About the role

Summary

As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing the full cycle of bookkeeping for the office. You will work independently, handling a variety of duties, including answering the phone and accounting tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Fully cycle bookkeeping
  • Accounts receivable and accounts payable postings in accounting software.
  • Bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Job costings
  • Financial Reporting
  • HST, WSIB, and source deduction remittances
  • Payroll processing
  • Filing
  • Year end preparation

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, experience with Sage is an asset.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Payroll experience
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to take on responsibilities without direct supervision

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
