Multi-Site: Yes Experience Five (5) full time years of experience as a Registered Nurse Education Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Other Education and Training Graduate of Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Management programs Certification as a wound care clinician from an accredited program Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) Competencies Advanced - Interpersonal skills Advanced - Communication skills Knowledge and Abilities Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development Ability to initiate and exercise critical thinking and decision-making Ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation Knowledge in conflict resolution techniques Knowledge in diverse cultures, values and traditions Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team Ability and flexibility in adapting to changing situations and environments Knowledge in communication strategy, methods and tools Committed to delivering on patient and family centred care Knowledge in First Nation and Metis history in Saskatchewan Ability to teach patients/families about areas essential to health & well-being Demonstrated ability to function as a team member, motivator, and facilitator Knowledge in implementing activities, plans and/or programs Integrates evidence based best practice as standard performance in portfolio Ability to evaluate data to problem-solve and lead to quality improvement Self-reflective practice: adhere to profess. code of ethics/practice standards Ability to establish/maintain satisfactory working relationships Ability to lead/encourage/advise/collaborate with colleagues to achieve goals Other Information Experince in developing wound, ostomy, continence programs/tools is an asset Travel to different acute care facilities within Saskatoon may be required Valid Class 5 driver's license Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) Experience in program planning, implementation and evaluation is an asset.
