About the role
Overview Our independently owned Pharmasave pharmacy, located at Oak Street and West 15th Avenue in Vancouver, is seeking a dependable Assistant Store Manager to join our team on a permanent basis. We serve a welcoming local community and pride ourselves on providing high-quality patient care in a supportive and friendly environment. You will play a crucial role in supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring exceptional customer service. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to multitask in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations.
- Supervise and support retail staff, providing training and performance feedback.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and conducting inventory counts.
- Ensure merchandising standards are met, including product displays and pricing accuracy.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally.
- Operate the cash register and oversee cash handling procedures.
- Assist in scheduling staff shifts and managing time-off requests.
- Maintain store cleanliness and organization.
- Collaborate with the Pharmacist and healthcare team to support pharmacy operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma; post-secondary education in business or related field preferred.
- At least 3 years of retail experience, with 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Pharmacy experience
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient with computers and retail management software.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Organized, punctual, and detail-oriented.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move merchandise as required.
- Must notify the Store Manager of any health issues that may affect job performance.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
