Company Description Ghosty Creative is a digital marketing agency working with a diverse roster of clients across industries. We build brands, run campaigns, and deliver results, and we are looking for a Social Media Coordinator who wants to grow fast by doing the real work. This role puts you inside active client engagements from day one. You will own the social media calendar across multiple accounts, create the content that fills it, and stay close to the audiences engaging with it. It starts part time with flexible hours, and as Ghosty Creative grows, so does the opportunity. We are looking for someone who wants to be here for the long haul.
Role Description The Social Media Coordinator is a part time, remote role with occasional travel to Hamilton, ON. You will plan, create, and publish social media content across multiple client accounts to build brand awareness and engagement. Day to day, you will manage the content calendar, create posts and stories, schedule publishing, and keep client communities active by responding to comments and messages in each brand's voice. You will write shoot schedules and shot lists, sometimes attend shoots, and hand raw footage to our editors before placing the finished cuts back into the calendar. As you grow into the accounts, you will start joining client calls and meetings, and you will coordinate with our editors, designers, and the wider team to keep work moving.
What You Will Do Build and manage social media content calendars across multiple client accounts, keeping each one on schedule and on brand. Create content for posts and stories across platforms, primarily Instagram and Facebook. Bring ideas to the table. Content ideation is a core part of this role, not an afterthought. Write content shoot schedules and shot lists so every shoot runs efficiently and captures what each client needs. Potentially attend content shoots to help direct and capture material on the day. Hand off raw video to our editors with clear direction, then place the finished cuts into the calendar. Coordinate with editors, designers, and other team members as needed to keep content on track and on deadline. Engage with client communities by responding to comments and keeping conversations active. Potentially join client calls and meetings as you grow into the accounts.
What You Bring A genuine interest in social media and digital marketing, with some experience or coursework to back it up. A strong feel for what performs well across Instagram and Facebook, and an instinct for content that stops the scroll. A graphic design sensibility with an eye for visual storytelling, comfortable creating in Canva. Strong written communication skills and confidence writing across different brand voices. Solid organization and the ability to juggle multiple client calendars without losing detail or momentum. Comfort working independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving, remote environment. Video editing is a bonus, not a requirement. You will be handing footage to our editors, but if you can cut a Reel yourself, that is a real plus. Being based in Hamilton or the surrounding area is a bonus too. This is a remote role, but local means easier shoot days and the occasional in-person.
Qualifications Skills in social media content creation and writing, with the ability to develop clear, engaging, brand-aligned posts. Familiarity with social media marketing and a feel for what grows an audience and performs across each platform. Strong communication and coordination skills for working with internal teams and online audiences. Hands-on experience with Instagram and Facebook. Comfort with other platforms is a plus. Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field is preferred. Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
