One of the sunniest regions in BC’s Lower Mainland, Delta embraces three unique communities – Ladner, North Delta and Tsawwassen. The City of Delta is looking for dedicated individuals to join our team and share in our commitment to lead the way in public service excellence.
The City of Delta is looking for dynamic, creative, and energetic Performing Arts Instructors to teach our recreational performing arts programs for all ages and abilities. The Leader will develop and implement quality, instructional, and engaging classes in acting for stage and screen, writing, singing, and/or musical theatre. Other performing arts will be considered. Programs run on a weekly basis during weekday mornings, weekday after school /evenings and weekends. Week-long camps run Monday – Friday over the summer.
Qualifications:
- Have ongoing personal and/or professional practice in performing arts
- Music, vocal instruction, and/or dance experience is an asset
- Flexible, self motivated, and can take initiative with little supervision
- Responsible and punctual
- Have strong customer service skills with excellent classroom management and organizational skills
- Available to work Monday through Friday during the day for July and August
- Able to create lesson plans for a series of sessional lessons
- Must be able to pass and maintain a clear Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector (PIC-VS) check
