Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Chemistry Tutor working with students in Grades 9–12.
Tutors conduct personalized one-on-one online sessions, adapting explanations to each student’s learning style and academic gaps. The goal is to help students develop conceptual understanding, not just memorize procedures.
Tutors set their own availability and are provided with structured onboarding, internal teaching resources, and support tools.
Qualifications Experience in Education and Tutoring is preferred Proficiency in English & Literacy Enrollment in or completion of a degree in a related discipline Went to high school in Canada
Expectations Deliver one-on-one online tutoring sessions Adapt explanations to individual student learning styles and gaps Guide students through problem-solving rather than giving answers Reinforce effective study habits and academic discipline Communicate professionally and reliably Show up prepared, punctual, and engaged for every session
