Job Duties
- Through lectures, seminars, and/or labs, provide didactic and clinical instruction and assessment of performance in the Dental Assisting program.
- Supervise and evaluate students in clinical settings.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of current dental assisting principles, procedures and techniques and the principles of adult education.
- Develop and maintain course curriculum.
- Conduct various aspects of program administration as required.
- Provide dental assisting services as required.
- Provide instructional support to Dental Hygiene Program when required.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE

Duties
Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA)

Graduate of a Dental Assisting Program.

Eligible for registration and licensure as a dental assistant in Saskatchewan.

Related baccalaureate degree (or be working toward completion of a related degree).

Training in educational theory and methodology.

Minimum of two years recent and relevant dental assisting experience in a dental office utilizing current dental assisting principles, procedures and techniques.

Demonstrated valuing diversity.

Ability to function as a team member in an ever-changing environment.

Demonstrated competence and recent experience in the use of the internet, e-mail, MS Office Suite software and ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.
