Status: Part Time
Hours: Friday (00:00 - 06:00 hrs), Saturday (00:00 - 06:00 hrs), Saturday (18:00 - 06:00 hrs)
Pay Rate: $19.75/hr

Essential Job Functions:
- To protect the people property and information of Ryder Systems Inc.
- To conduct frequent foot patrols of the property to have a presence and be aware of any trespassers, or unauthorized activity.
- Maintaining a visible deterrent to unauthorized activities on the property.
- If anyone is found on site, they should be questioned to ensure they are authorized to be there. All Ryder employees should have a uniform and should provide you with their name.
- If unauthorized individuals are found on site, they should be advised they are trespassing and must leave, escalate to contact the Police if necessary. Include all details in your Daily Activity Report.
- Write a detailed daily activity report for each shift recording all required duties and tasks.
- Complete hourly lone worker calls
Requirements:
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (WSIB-approved vendor)
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- Proficient in English, both oral and written
- Working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act
- Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, tact and diplomacy
- Authorized to legally work in Canada
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred
- Able to maintain a professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances and people under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations
