Job Summary:
The Retail Associate supports daily food service operations by providing professional service, following company policies and health and safety standards, completing required training, and working collaboratively with the team to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and comply with all applicable pay transparency legislation. Food Preparation & Kitchen Support (Primary Focus)
- Prepare and assist with the production of hot and cold food items burgers, fries, sandwiches, popcorn, nachos grab-and-go products following standardized recipes and station guidelines
- Perform prep tasks such as measuring, portioning, chopping, and assembling ingredients
- Ensure food is prepared and served at proper temperatures and meets quality standards
- Maintain portion control and minimize food waste
- Replenish food items and supplies during service as required
- Follow all HACCP, food safety, and quality assurance procedures, including temperature logs and production records
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations before, during, and after service
Cleaning, Sanitation & Dishwashing (Core Responsibility)
- Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, pots, pans, and utensils in accordance with health and safety standards
- Maintain dishwashing areas, garbage stations, and kitchen spaces according to master cleaning schedules
- Remove garbage, recycling, and compost and dispose of waste safely
- Ensure all work areas, equipment, and smallwares are clean, sanitized, and organized at all times
- Assist with deep cleaning and ongoing sanitation of kitchen and service areas
Cashier & Customer Service (Cashless Environment)
- Operate a cashless POS system, processing debit and credit transactions accurately
- Enter all items into the system to ensure accurate sales recording
- Provide receipts and ensure efficient, timely service
- Interact with customers in a friendly, professional manner and resolve inquiries or concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas, including restocking condiments and supplies
About you:
- Previous food service experience is an asset
- Food Handler Certification preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to cleanliness, food safety, and quality
- Reliable transportation is a requirement
