This position is on site at Summerwood Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a hygienic and welcoming environment for clients and staff. This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional setting where attention to detail and reliability are highly valued. Prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. The position requires a strong work ethic, punctuality, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas according to established standards Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored properly after use Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper as needed Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment Adhere to company policies regarding confidentiality and professionalism during all cleaning tasks Skills Prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality of work Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently Good time management skills to complete assigned tasks within scheduled timeframes Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or collaboratively as part of a team Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude toward maintaining clean environments Must provide a complete and current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one. Here is what we look for. Education and Experience: Related housekeeping experience an asset. WHMIS Skills for Success: Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Mentally and physically able to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
