Recreation ◄ Back to All Categories Rink Guard Part-Time This is a Part-Time position only * Patrols rink to maintain order and to observe unsafe conditions. Administers first aid in accordance with established first aid methods and techniques. Gives instructions to beginners on the fundamentals of skating. Keeps records and prepares reports including reports on hazardous conditions and accidents. Qualifications Must be 17 years of age prior to appointment and demonstrate ability in skating. Considerable knowledge of the fundamentals of ice skating. Considerable knowledge of first aid techniques. Knowledge of hockey a plus. Ability to establish and maintain the orderly participation of patrons. Ability to react quickly in an emergency. Special Requirements Applicant must procure American Red Cross First Aid Certificate within thirty (30) days of start of employment. Requirements

Applicants must be at least 17 years old before appointment and demonstrate skating ability, with considerable knowledge of ice skating fundamentals and first aid techniques. An American Red Cross First Aid Certificate must be obtained within 30 days of starting; hockey knowledge is an asset.
