Job summary

The Kitchen Driver is responsible for loading delivery vans, following established routes for on-time deliveries, and maintaining the cleanliness of vehicles and equipment. They also assist in organizing delivery supplies and reporting any vehicle maintenance issues to the Head Chef.

DRIVER (PART-TIME) Location: Calgary, AB Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM JOB DESCRIPTION Reporting to the Head chef acts as an integral member of the Kids & Company team to assist in the flow of day-to-day kitchen operations through the conscientious application of Kids & Company standards to achieve our mission statement. The Role We want to work with people who are committed to going above and beyond in customer service. Those with a friendly, outgoing personality that is appropriate for a childcare center environment, as well as those with experience with children, will be given special consideration. You will need to have a tidy appearance and respectful manners. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Deliveries * Load vans according to delivery manifests; assist fellow drivers in the loading process * Follow the route and schedule as stated to ensure on-time deliveries Vehicle Maintenance and Cleaning * Maintaining clean vehicle and cargo spaces daily * Fleet preparation works as assigned * Reporting issues or the appearance of warning lights immediately * Every day, inspect functional lights and signals, as well as wear and tear Delivery Equipment Returns * Clean delivery bags and cambro equipment thoroughly * Storing/organizing delivery equipment so that it is ready for use the next day JOB REQUIREMENTS * Minimum 25 years of age (for insurance purposes) * 3+ years of driving or work-related experience is preferred * Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record * Successful candidates will be required to submit their information for a background check & may require a medical assessment * Excellent physical condition: able to lift heavy loads (50+ lbs) * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Experience in a daycare setting would be an asset. * Able to calmly assess problems and determine sensible solutions ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Thank you for your interest in Kids & Company!
