Hiring Unit: Department of Biochemistry Course Title: Molecular Mechanisms of Cell Function Course Code: BIOC 212 Estimated Number of Positions: 3 Total Hours of Work per Term: 50 Name of the Course Coordinators: Prof. Maria Vera Ugalde & Prof. Robert Scott Kiss Position Summary: IMPORTANT: To be eligible for an appointment as a Teaching Assistant for Winter 2027 term, applicants must be enrolled in a McGill graduate program in Winter 2027 term. Be present at assigned lectures and aid students via myCourses. Be available to answer e-mail inquiries or direct questions. Hours flexible. Provide a one-hour review session upon completion of each course section. Invigilate midterms and exam viewing sessions. Qualifications: Candidates must be enrolled in a graduate program within the Department of Biochemistry, or in another graduate program at McGill University, for the Winter 2027 term. Graduate students who have successfully passed BIOC/ANAT 212. Very good communication skills and attention to detail. Effective communication skills in English are essential. French is an asset. Instructions to the Candidate: Make sure you apply as an external candidate. Updated CV including any previous TA experience in the Department of Biochemistry or within McGill University.
