Peace River School Division is seeking a highly motivated a Part-time (0.90 f.t.e.) Educational Assistant at Menno Simons Community School to provide one-on-one support to a student who has high needs, among other duties like supporting students with their learning needs. Menno Simons Community School serves students in grades K-12 population, comprised of English students and ESL Mennonite students. The school is situated west of Fairview near Cleardale, Alberta, approximately 200 km west of Grande Prairie. Manning Aurora Composite is a K-12 school in northern Alberta. Qualifications Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience Experience working directly with children Experience working with individuals with special needs Skills Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with teachers and district office Program Coordinators A strong desire to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Ability to work independently. The ability to work independently, manage small groups effectively, and follow structured intervention plans. High level of commitment, accountability, and reliability.
