Role Description The Pharmacy Clerk is a part-time, on-site role based in Oakville, ON, supporting the pharmacy team in delivering efficient and friendly service to patients and customers. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with prescription processing workflows, organizing and stocking pharmacy inventory, and maintaining a clean and orderly work area. The Pharmacy Clerk greets customers, answers basic inquiries, and directs them to the appropriate pharmacy team member when needed. The role also involves handling transactions at the pharmacy counter, promoting customer satisfaction, and following Rexall’s policies and regulatory guidelines. Collaboration with pharmacists and pharmacy assistants is essential to ensure accurate, timely service and a positive in-store experience. Qualifications Strong customer-focused skills, including Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction, with the ability to interact courteously and professionally in a fast-paced environment. Foundational Pharmacy-related knowledge, including familiarity with Prescription handling processes and basic pharmacy operations. Effective Communication skills, both verbal and written, to clearly assist customers, collaborate with team members, and follow instructions. Attention to detail and accuracy when working with prescriptions, labels, and transactions, with a commitment to confidentiality and regulatory compliance. Basic math and cash-handling skills, and comfort using point-of-sale systems and pharmacy software. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift light to moderate loads, and perform repetitive tasks safely. Previous experience in retail, healthcare, or pharmacy settings is an asset. High school diploma or equivalent; willingness to learn and participate in ongoing training and development.
