Job summary

Clean and maintain public areas, washrooms, the health club, guest-floor hallways, and linen rooms, including replenishing supplies and handling deliveries. Respond to guest requests, deliver and collect laundry and other items, and promptly report incidents, accidents, and hazards while following workplace safety requirements.

Job details

To ensure public areas and public washrooms are cleaned routinely throughout the day, ensure public washrooms and pool and health club are always sanitized and re-stocked. Ensure hallways on each guest floor cleaned. Ensure linen rooms on each guest floor restocked. Delivery of items to guest rooms upon request. Carry a radio and follow requests Deliver and pick up guest laundry Deliver any items to a guest room per guest’s request Restock linen rooms on each guest floor Clean and vacuum hallways on each guest floor Clean and dust the lobby areas Ensure furniture and fixtures are free of debris Make sure furniture is positioned correctly Vacuum carpets and clean windows/doors in lobby and front entrance area Empty trash and smoke receptacles Mop hard surface floors when necessary, always place wet floor warning sign Clean and sanitize public washrooms and health club, replenish items as needed Take deliveries from receiving to housekeeping and laundry Throughout your shift sort linen from each linen room on guest floors Report all incidents, accidents and hazards immediately To look out for the safety of yourself, co-workers and to follow all Health and Safety requirements in the workplace. Other duties as required 1-2 years’ experience in a housekeeping environment. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Customer Service Skills Houseperson need proper customer service skills. To be able to handle the daily workload according to business needs Able to work as a part of a team. Able to work with little supervision. Ability to work calmly under pressure. Must be organized and detail oriented Must have working knowledge of the English language (verbal, written, reading) Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities Fast-paced environment, Repetitive tasks, physically demanding, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Bending, crouching, kneeling. Must be able to lift/carry up to 25 to 50 lbs. Exposure to cleaning chemicals The schedule for this position may vary and would require the ability to work shift work, late nights, overnight, weekends and holidays. Requirements

The posting prefers 1–2 years of housekeeping experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Candidates should have customer service skills, working knowledge of English, attention to detail, the ability to work in a team or with little supervision, and the physical ability to lift and carry 25–50 pounds and work overnight, late, weekend, and holiday shifts.
