The lead coordinates with various departments to manage resources, staff, and client expectations, ensuring that events run smoothly from planning through completion. By maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency, the Food & Beverage Lead contributes directly to the establishment’s reputation and profitability. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a customer-focused approach to meet and exceed client needs consistently. Minimum Qualifications: * Proven experience in banquet setup, sales, and service within the food and beverage or hospitality industry. * Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards applicable to banquet operations. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, staff, and management. * Ability to manage multiple tasks and events simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. * Legal authorization to work in Canada. Preferred Qualifications: * Post-secondary education or certification in hospitality management or a related field. * Experience using banquet management software and point-of-sale systems. * Leadership or supervisory experience in a food and beverage setting. * Knowledge of current trends in food and beverage service and banquet event management. * Bilingual abilities, particularly in English and French, to better serve diverse clientele. Responsibilities: * Coordinate and supervise banquet setup to ensure all event spaces are prepared according to client specifications and company standards. * Manage banquet sales activities, including client consultations, event proposals, and contract negotiations to maximize revenue opportunities. * Oversee banquet service operations during events, ensuring timely and professional delivery of food and beverages. * Train, schedule, and lead banquet staff to maintain high levels of service quality and operational efficiency. * Collaborate with kitchen, catering, and event management teams to ensure seamless communication and execution of banquet functions.
