Our pools are located at: 2145 N Sheridan Way, Mississauga, ON L5K 1A3 6750 Mississauga Rd, Mississauga, ON L5N 2L3 The role of a Senior Swim Instructor is to provide expert guidance and training to the instructional staff, playing a crucial part in the growth and success of Aqua Life’s swim program. Senior Swim Instructors ensure the delivery of high-quality swim instruction, prioritize water safety, and support the professional development of the instructional team, ultimately contributing to a safe and enriching swimming experience for all participants. Responsibilities: Conduct swimming lessons for students of all ages and skill levels, demonstrate proper swimming techniques, strokes, and safety practices. Provide constructive feedback and support to help students improve their swimming abilities. Assist in the training and orientation of new swim instructors, guide them through the lesson plans, safety protocols, and teaching methodologies. Serve as a mentor and resource to help new hires integrate smoothly into the team. Serve as a mentor to our team of swim instructors, providing guidance, support, and sharing your vast knowledge of the swimming world. Ensure a safe and secure swimming environment by maintaining constant vigilance and enforcing our water safety protocols. Foster a positive and inclusive work culture among the swim instructor team, encouraging teamwork, mutual support, and a passion for teaching. Create positive and positive, supportive environment that encourages a love for swimming. Keep track of student progress, provide constructive feedback, and celebrate milestones as they master new swimming skills. Act as a substitute instructor as needed Qualifications: Valid National Lifeguard and SFA + CPR-C Valid Lifesaving Swim Instructor Certification preferred Previous competitive swimmer preferred Substantial experience as a swim instructor, with at least 3-5 years of teaching experience. This should include a proven track record of effective instruction and a deep understanding of swimming techniques, strokes, and safety protocols. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively mentor, coach, and guide new instructors. Leadership abilities to inspire and motivate our teams towards achieving high-quality instruction. A professional demeanour with a positive attitude and the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and responsibly.

Requirements
Requires 3-5 years of swim teaching experience and valid NLS, SFA, and CPR-C certifications. A Lifesaving Swim Instructor Certification and a background in competitive swimming are preferred.
