We’re looking for a reliable, nurturing and energetic swim instructor who will be responsible for the swim development and confidence-building of our students. Our instructors benefit from consistent teaching shifts with flexible hours. When appointed, you will receive advanced training in our methodology and processes. What you will be doing: Instruct swimming lessons following The Aqua Life methodology Evaluate students swimming ability to determine the correct swim level Maintain the safety, cleanliness, and order in and around the pool Create a secure, inviting and positive experience for all participants, big or small Quickly and efficiently respond to client questions, comments, and concerns What you can expect: A flexible and consistent schedule that allows you to pick your own hours Great pay, and opportunity for advancement Possibility to work as many hours as you would like, starting at as little as 4 hrs/week Great team environment and support system with continuous training and development Learn how to make a positive impact on a child’s life The team at The Aqua Life Swim Academy has over 25 years of experience in developing aquatic skills in children and adults and we are always keen to hear from enthusiastic swimmers who would like to be part of our growing instructor team here in Kingston. Although we teach swimming to all ages and abilities, the majority of our students are pre-school and elementary-aged children, so you really have to enjoy working with this young age group. Minimum Required Qualifications: Valid National Lifeguard Valid SFA and CPR-C Prior experience teaching swimming (minimum one year) Previous competitive swimmer preferred Experience working with children and personal transportation is considered an asset. Requirements
Candidates must hold valid National Lifeguard, SFA, and CPR-C certifications with at least one year of swimming instruction experience. Experience with children and a background in competitive swimming are preferred.
