Position Summary Key Attendants will be required to live on site and will receive rent free accommodation which will be valued in accordance with Income Tax regulations. The duties will be confined exclusively to the security of the Building and its Tenants. Job Duties and Responsibilities Duties: · Required to live on-site · Report maintenance problems to the Supervisor · Report on vandalism to the Supervisor · Report disturbances to the Supervisor, Client Services and/or Police · Assist tenants on lock outs · Monitor fire alarm systems and assist in cases of fire alarms · Maintain the general security of the building, ensuring doors are properly secured · Check fire panel weekly and document in fire log book · Perform a walkabout of each floor of the building each morning and night and ensure doors and windows are secure · Show vacant units and promote Housing Services Department in a positive manner · Allow contractors access to the building as needed · Maintain lounge booking schedule if applicable · Lock/unlock lounge daily dependent on building needs General: · Incumbents must keep up-to-date on all relevant legislation, collective bargaining agreements, County Policies and Procedures, etc. ensuring that these are implemented as prescribed · Incumbents must possess the physical ability to meet the duties and responsibilities of the job description and/or the requirements identified within the position's Physical Demands Analysis These describe the general nature and level of work being performed by incumbents in this classification.
