This position is responsible for food preparation, serving customers and other duties related to the operation of concessions. There are two locations: Milton Sports Centre and Sherwood Community Centre. The Town is looking for dynamic, responsible individuals able to work in a fast paced work environment that possess excellent customer service skills. Major Job Responsibilities Major Job Responsibilities Perform a wide range of duties related to the operation of a food concession Emphasis on food preparation, serving customers and maintaining a sanitary work area Perform cash handling functions, inventory and restocking of supplies Must be able to lift up to 25lbs Follow procedures for the opening and/or closing of concessions Provide excellent customer service Maintain equipment in an organized and clean manner Complete all inventory functions/reports Assist in planning and delivery of concessions during special events Comply with all health and safety practices as it relates to the work, standard operating guidelines and the Occupational Health & Safety Act Other duties as assigned Education & Experience Education and Experience Minimum grade 10 education Must possess strong communication and customer service skills Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to work well as part of a team, with minimal supervision in a fast pace work environment Experience using POS is an asset Preference will be given to those with food preparation or cash handling experience; Safe Food Handlers Certification is an asset Successful candidates will be required to provide a criminal records check with vulnerable sector screening dated within 6 months as a condition of employment Note to Applicants This posting is for an existing job vacancy.
