G1 HVAC Technician

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this position are diverse, but all center on providing consistent resident satisfaction while working towards out energy conservation goals. Within your portfolio of buildings you will problem-solve, collaborate with our HVAC and operations teams, and help direct plans for major investment in our HVAC systems.

• Maintain focus on resident satisfaction and energy conservation
• Troubleshoot and service all aspects of HVAC in high-rise apartment buildings including boilers (HTG/DHW), chillers, heat pumps, MUA, RTU and HRV/ERV systems
• Service and maintain variable-frequency drives (VFD)
• Perform regular preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment
• Provide consistent monitoring and support of building automation systems
• Willingness and ability to learn how to monitor and fine-tune buildings through our automation systems
• Oversee HVAC-related mechanical projects
• Maintain HVAC logs as required
• Regularly update knowledge and skills through employer-sponsored educational programs
• Comply with all safety and TSSA code requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

• Gas license - G1 required
• Excellent HVAC troubleshooting skills
• Effective knowledge in HVAC automation systems is an asset
• Refrigeration license (313A or 313D) is an asset.
• Efficient time manager with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
• Strong work ethic with ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in-person, over the phone and via e-mail.
