New Hire Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday (rotating days) 25-30 hrs/week

Location: 1 Prologis Blvd, Mississauga (Corrections Canteen Division)

Working Conditions: Stable consistent work environment

Important Information:

  • Full "G" license
  • Current Drivers Abstract Required
  • Experience driving 16' Cube Truck preferred,
  • MTO Law, knowledge of use for ELD (Electric Logging Device) recording on GEO TAB

Job Summary

How you will make an impact:

You will be representing the company's image at all times by your actions and demeanor and self-image. Responsible for maintaining proper product distribution to client facilities as per Clients and Compass's contractual obligations.

As a Route Driver you will:

  • Distribution commissary items to scheduled client facilities.
  • Deliver Commissary items to scheduled client's facilities.
  • Prior to beginning each day's route, ensure truck/van is properly loaded and vehicle inspections are completed.
  • Must have a Valid G License, experience driving 16'Cube Truck
  • Drivers Abstract required - Personal and Commercial
  • Lifting approx. 50lbs, standing and walking for up to 8hrs
  • 95% of your time is inside client facilities.
  • Works well in teams and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Police Clearance Check required.

About you:

  • A valid G-License and good driving record is required
  • Strong communication and written skills
  • Ability to deal with challenging situations
  • Physically able to carry out duties of position
