In alignment with the Bloorview Research Institute's new strategic priorities and the hospital's new strategic plan, "Transformative Care, Inclusive World: Holland Bloorview 2030", the Project Manager will support multi disciplinary teams to execute cross functional projects and programs.

Reporting jointly to the Sr. Director, Ambulatory Care and the Director, Extensive Needs Service and Inclusion Programs, the Project Manager will be responsible for working collaboratively across the research institute and hospital to initiate, integrate, lead, and implement projects - maximizing organizational effectiveness and accountability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with Ambulatory Care and Extensive Needs Service and Inclusion Programs operational leaders and teams to ensure large-scale operational priorities align and advance the strategic goals of the departments
  • Work with leaders across Ambulatory Care and Extensive Needs Service and Inclusion Programs to manage medium and large strategic projects and initiatives, from development and management of project charters, through project execution, including implementation, monitoring, and reporting
  • Work with teams to create, measure, and improve performance standards - maximizing available data through Meditech and other data assets
  • Coach, support and consult teams and individuals, as the project management expert, in moving through project phases for medium to large scale projects.
  • Build performance capacity, resources and assets through training and coaching to empower program management skills and practices across the organization
  • Collaborate with Ambulatory Care and Extensive Needs Service and Inclusion Programs leadership to identify performance opportunities, implement program specific performance solutions
  • Apply and promote a data driven, integrated and adaptive approach to all projects, with a lens of continuous improvement and innovation

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Bachelor's degree in health care, business or a related field required
  • Master's degree in health care, or related field is an asset
  • Certificate in Project Management is an asset
  • 5+ years relevant clinical or operations experience in a healthcare setting including project management, data management, business cases, evaluation methods and proposal writing
  • Demonstrated high level of initiative, self-direction, flexibility, and ability to adapt to change required
  • Excellent facilitation skills with experience facilitating large group sessions that include diverse groups of management, professional staff and clients and families.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and complex initiatives and to implement projects within established timeframes and targets required.
  • Proven capability to work collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external groups and teams, manage relationships, and influence a wide range of knowledge users/holders.
  • Proven ability to facilitate organizational change, change management skills and training is an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and prioritize competing workload demands
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills
