Job Description

The successful candidate will enjoy an excellent work-life balance in this progressive clinic that allows for cross coverage for time away. Kliniek on Main Primary Health Care Clinic in Moose Jaw is looking for a 0.5 FTE family physician to join their team (Option to pick up to full-time hours until June 2024). This modern, efficient office uses an electronic health record (Med Access) and provides comprehensive full family practice care to Moose Jaw area residents. Our clinic also cares for Newcomers (government-assisted refugees) and their families and continues care of our patients as they transition into long term care. There is opportunity to be involved in QI to adapt our practices to best serve our community and manage provider time within the framework of a team approach. The Physician may be asked to provide visiting services to nearby Central Butte. This includes clinic duties as well as overseeing long-term care patients in Regency Manor. This position includes afterhours availability for urgent care by phone as per CPSS Medical Practice coverage guidelines.

Job Qualifications

The successful candidate must hold a license or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS). Preference will be given to University of Saskatchewan graduates and individuals with strong ties to Saskatchewan. This individual should be a team player, be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff and management, and function well in a high volume environment with a commitment to provision of high quality patient and family-centered care.

In accordance with immigration requirements, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.

The start date for this position is immediate for a period of one year. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

The Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital:
The "Wigmore Hospital" is a state of the art facility with 72 inpatient beds including an intensive care unit. We provide full obstetrical services, as well as General Surgery, Gynecology, Urology, Orthopedics and Ophthalmology. Other speciality services available include Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Pathology, Radiology (diagnostic imaging, ultrasound, CT, MRI). There is opportunity for participation in teaching through the University of Saskatchewan, College of Medicine programs.
