Job Description

The Saskatchewan Health Authority - Saskatoon seeks Family Physicians or Royal College eligible/certified Physicians with recognized Methadone and/or Buprenorphine/Naloxone Initiating Prescriber education to work with an interdisciplinary team to support Opioid Agonist Therapy (OAT). The team consists of Addiction Counsellors, Nurse Practitioners, concurrent disorder psychiatry, office support and access to a broader community team as necessary. Physicians currently providing services offer mentoring for physicians joining the clinic.

The goal of OAT in Saskatchewan is to provide safe, accessible, effective and consistent treatment for individuals with opioid use disorder (OUD).

Location: Services are provided at two locations in Saskatoon (Mayfair Clinic 504 33rd Street West & 1611 20th Street West).

Job Qualifications

Please note that physicians interested in obtaining the Methadone and/or Buprenorphine/Naloxone Initiating Prescriber education will be considered, however preference will be given to candidates that have completed the training requirements of the CPSS.
