Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) - Saskatoon and University of Saskatchewan, Department of Pediatrics, is seeking applications for a part time (0.725FTE) or locum Pediatric Infectious Diseases specialist to provide clinical and academic service delivery.
The successful candidate will provide inpatient and outpatient pediatric infectious diseases services at the Jim Pattison Children's Hospital (JPCH) and will have an opportunity to develop niche areas of practice based on interest. Undergraduate, postgraduate, bedside, small group and formal didactic teaching are also components of the position. The successful candidate will have academic affiliation with the University of Saskatchewan, as well as Practitioner Staff appointments with the SHA. The offer will reflect an appropriate academic ranking based on the candidate's prior experience.
The candidate will join a division currently consisting of three other Pediatric Infectious Diseases specialists in the Department of Pediatrics and will work with a dedicated team of General Pediatricians as well as other pediatric subspecialists in Cardiology, Development Pediatrics, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Hematology, Medical Genetics, Metabolics, NICU, PICU, Nephrology, Neurology, Respirology, Rheumatology, Emergency Medicine, Palliative Care and Oncology.
Candidates in consideration will certification or eligibility for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS). Additional training or an interest in Immunology is considered an asset.
