Job Details RHA Job Number: GO-00737474-1 Number of Vacancies: 1 Profession: Respiratory Therapist Organization: Saskatchewan Health Authority Facility Name: Royal University Hospital Department: Respiratory Therapy - Neonatal Transport Team Employment Type: Permanent Employment Term: Part Time Posting Date: October 30, 2023 Closing Date: October 30, 2024 17:00 Hours of Work: Shift Information: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends, On Call In a 4 week rotation: 6 shifts of 11.78 hours Rate of Pay: $39.376 to $48.034 (5 step range) Union: HSAS Job Description The Transport Respiratory Therapist will be responsible to provide advanced respiratory treatment to complex/critical patients in unpredictable environments encountered in a wide variety of health care facilities. Transportation and care of these patients will occur via air or ground transport. The Transport Respiratory Therapist will be expected to perform advanced skill procedures learned through specialized training under the direction of the Transport Physician via protocols, guidelines and orders received in person or via telephone communication. Job Qualifications Required Qualifications Basic Life Support (BLS) Completion of the Neonatal Transport Training Course Diploma in Respiratory Therapy Registered or eligible for registration with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapist (C.S.R.T) Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Respiratory Therapist (S.C.R.T) Experience 2 years minimum experience in a critical care environment. Experience in Neonatal Intensive Care required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to adapt to changing conditions Ability to function effectively during periods of high stress and in emergency situations Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team Advanced communication skills Advanced decision making skills Advanced interpersonal skills Advanced leadership skills Advanced organizational skills Computer skills are an asset Critical thinking skills Demonstrated knowledge and/or training in the neonatal patient population Other Information Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.
